The how to kill a mockingbird effect
You know, sometimes I like to randomly walk up to people I think I won't like and punch them in the face. If that makes me a "criminal" or a "fucking asshole" then so be it. But look, I'm not the one going around collapsing all the financial markets of this great nation and tangentially the whole world. Who's the REAL criminal, "them" or me?

They say that time slows down during traumatic experiences, because time is an illusion imposed upon us which we can then change with our mind, but that’s not how it felt when it happened. It felt fast and all at once, and only later could I pore over every little detail until one minute became a day and that day the rest of my life.
